A few troubleshooting steps to configure hosting on computers can fix the error:
Open QuickBooks on your system.
Go to the File menu and select Utilities.
If the Stop Hosting Multi-User Access option is visible, select it.
If the Host Multi-User Access option is visible, don’t click it. There is no problem with this workstation. Go to the next one.
Repeat the same steps on all workstations getting QuickBooks error H505.
Now, open QuickBooks on your server computer.
Select the File menu.
Then, choose Utilities.
If the Host Multi-User Access is an option, select it.
