If you have an Xfinity Gateway and notice that the Xfinity Gateway blinking orange, it means that the device is connecting at 10/100 Mbps. Additionally, a lack of communication between the router and a modem can trigger such issues. You can follow the below-mentioned steps to get rid of the problem:
Turn off the router and disconnect its power adapter from the electric socket.
Check if the Ethernet cable connecting the router and the modem is in proper condition. If the cable has any physical damages, replace it with a new one.
Connect the router’s power adapter back to the electric socket and turn it on.
Check if the blinking of orange light is resolved on your Xfinity Gateway.
