on road bike training at shires motorcycle training leicester

The First Step

All potential motorcycle or moped riders must first complete a full days CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) course.
A CBT completion certificate lasts for 2 years.

Step 2: The Theory Test

All riders must take a motorcycle specific theory test. This is in addition to the car one you may or may not have alreday taken.
The Theory Test Pass Certificate lasts for 2 years.

Step 3: Module 1

A practical off-road riding test consisting of several excersises which test your ability to control the motorcycle. The Module 1 Test Pass Certificate lasts until your Theory Test Certificate expires.

Step 4: Mod 2. The Practical On Road Motorcycle Test

Once you have collected a full set of valid driving certificates it's time to take the final test. A Mod 2 pass gives you immediate category A (motorcycle) entitlement on your licence. Though if you take the test on a light motorcycle (125cc or less) you will only receive category A1 (light motorcycle) entitlement which automatically upgrades to full unrestricted category A after 2 years.
